0% GPU usage reading (even though i know that it is being used)

So one day (about 5 days ago) i loaded up elite: dangerous and opened up CAM software (i like to moniter in game stats) and i started playing, i noticed that under GPU load it read 0% which is strange because usually it uses 50-100% of my GPU, so confused by this reading i opened up asus gpu tweakII and had a look there, again it read 0% GPU load, my gameplay experience was no different to what it is normally and i have had the same 0% load reading on all games and applications that i have played since that time. all of my software and drivers are up to date and my system specs can be found below:

Specs:
I7 5820K (cooled with a cooler master nepton 280l AIO)
asus gtx 980ti strix
16gb hyperx fury DDR4 ram running at 2133 mhz
asus x99 sabertooth
asus hyperx savage 120gb ssd (for OS)
WD 2TB black (for programs)

all advice is appreciated

both programs would be using same sensor on card, have you got the latest Nvidia drivers as it could be a bad driver install - you could try: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2767677/clean-graphics-driver-install-windows.html

Do you have latest version of GPU Tweak? it mentions fixing a clock error and was only released a week ago: https://www.asus.com/au/Graphics-Cards/STRIXGTX980TIDC3OC6GD5GAMING/HelpDesk_Download/

Since it isn't effecting your performance I would just ignore it, it might be a bug in latest Nvidia drivers.
