gtx 1060 vs gtx 1060 mini

i came across the 2 variants of the gtx 1060. Zotac is selling it in 2 versions. One is the AMP version and another is the mini version. Will there be a huge performance difference between the 2? Because here in India the mini version is a bit cheaper than the AMP!

and how much better will be the mini version from GTX 970?

Not a huge difference, but in India I would use a dual fan version due to the high ambient temperature.

I'll simplify - there is no reason to upgrade 970 to 1060. Yes there is ~15-20% difference in performance, but is it really worth 250$ (guess in india it's much more than 250). Wait for the next gen (something like GTX1170). Other option, is that I guess (and it's a guess) the prices of the 1070 will fall toward the end of the year. you might be able to get one for ~350$ (US prices). And 1070 is huge improvement over 970.

3 things
first is your pc case space limited with limited air flow?
2nd is your room that the pc in have a high room temperature?
3rd are you planing on overclocking this gpu?

and one more thing do you have a 970 right now?

1. No my case has 5 fans 1 on the top two on the left side 1 in front and 1 on the rear side and most of them r cooler master led fans

2. Yes the room gets a bit hot during the night

3. i dont have any plans to overclock the GPU

4. Yes i have a GTX 970 but i will be assembling a PC for my brother, since the 970 is a bit cheaper here thats why thinking if i get a performance gain then only will i think of buying the 1060. I dont mind spending a bit more if its really worth it.

as for mini vs standard id get the mini unless you use your pc though out the whole night

So gtx 1060 mini gigabyte 3gb is not overclockable ? or it can also be overclock like gtx 1060 amp edition or other twin fan version ? kindly help me i am pretty confused in this i should get single fan mini version or dual fan armor oc version of gtx1060 3gb ?

Yeah it can be overclocked, but the higher temperatures might limit your overclocking vs one with a better cooler.

I have another choice of rx 470 4gb which is cheaper than gtx 1060 3gb and less in performance so which one i should get rx 470 asus ,msi ,gigabyte or gtx 1060 3gb mini gigabyte , armor oc 3g ? which is better at performance and can give more fps i want to do ultra gaming at 1080p including watch dogs 2 , just cause 3 and other 2017games and 2018 kinsly help me i have to buy one of them today.

Is it safe ? as i have heard 6 pin connector carries 75w only and 8 pin need more i have dell 525 watt power supply branded here is the picture of my psu

Yeah should be fine. The 1060 only uses about 120w (75w comes from the motherboard), so the 8pin connection is overkill.

my motherboard is not tht powerfull as my motherboard is from branded machine dell t3400 and have a branded power supply of 525 watt with 2x6 pin connectors so should i use connector of 6 to 8pin ? i wont overclock the card
