Hi! I've got Z87-G43 Motherboard and Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB Kit (2 x 4GB).
I want to buy Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) and have a total of 24GB RAM.
Will this build work with no negative consequences? Biggest mystery for me is that on official crucial website these Kits are described as UDIMM, but on other websites it is written that they are DIMM. Also My motherboard supports DIMM. So are there mistakes in descriptions or maybe I'm just stupid and don't understand something.

Solution
There are no guarantees when mixing packages of DRAM, it's a 50/50 crapshoot. Best bet is always to get a single package of the full amount of DRAM you want/need
UDIMM = unregistered memory http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/u/udimm.htm

That kit will fit your MB, Z87 G43, but because you will mix two sets of RAM, and they may or may not well well each other. And other question, why do you need the 24GB ( 16GB+8GB) in your PC? the price too good? Or do you use the PC for photoshop or video editing?
If you don't use the PC for PS or video editing, 1) don't buy the 16GB, because 8GB will be more than enough for daily usage. 2) If you have to buy the RAM, go ahead. 3) Or if they don't work together, then just use the 16GB, sell the 8GB.
