Hi there!

I have an issue, so I bought an Asus STRIX-GTX1070-O8G VGA.
My motherboard is an Intel DH77EB it has PCI-E 3.0 x16 slot.
Bought a new PSU too because of the 8pin power supply. Its an FSP Hyper 600W.
So I using the PSU as 6+2 PIN to give the power to the video card.

The issue is, I installed the VGA into the PCI-E slot, attached the 6+2PIN after all I startup my computer, it simply shows nothing, the VGA / CPU vents are spinning, the USB keyboard dont get any power. The mobo dont give any beep warning, and seems like the system didnt reach the startup phase where it should run the OS. Cant enter the BIOS settings too.

But if I remove the card, and reseting the BIOS settings and setup to use the integrated INTEL VGA always, power-off reatach the PCI-E card it can and boot again, going on the BIOS now it sees theres an NVIDIA card is attached to the PCI-E slot.

For me, it seems like its some compatibility issue (but i didnt guess it like its only requires PCI-E 3.0 which I have.) Or it could be a damaged card?

Any help appreciated.

Ps.: Sorry for my bad english, its not my mothertounge.

Update:

Disabled the integrated VGA, attached the DVI cable to it, / HDMI to the GTX card. seems like it sending signal right now on the HDMI 2/MHL interface (isnt used by my monitor) but stuck in the loading screen, mobo beeping its ready to goes into bios setting.
- Seems like it sending false signals to the monitor.. -

Update2:

Managed to get into the windows system. For a little time. Then the same thing happend no signal on Monitor (which comes from the integrated VGA/No power on the usb keyboard) Gonna try this on linux.

It recognize 2 VGA adapter one in the PCI-E slot this one dont have enough power and windows suggesting me to turn off the other VGA which is the integrated one.

I found my PSU on the internet: http://fsp-europe.com/hyper-500w600700w/ i got the HP600S series. It should be enough for a system like this:

DH77EB motherboard I5-3330 / Asus ROG STRIX-GTX1070 OC.

Update 3:

Under linux it says PCI-E - Nvidia corp - cant recognize the model, which is ok under linux. - PCI-E id: 0.0
And says i have an NVIDIA audio on PCI-E id 0.1

Rebooted to get into windows same thing happaned no power at the integrated nor @ GTX nor to the keyboard

Update 4:

Seems like this power issue is not OS releated. got the same error while was in BIOS settings.

Update 5: managed to power up my computer without the PCI-E card. disabled the IGP just in case.

Since then, the mobo gives back the error signal again 2 beep - NO VGA found.

With my old card - Sapphire HD7770 OC Vapor-X the system functional properly.

So far 3 thing on my head that can cause this type of issue.

1. The FPS Hyper 600W isnt enough for this card even if the card requires 42A on 12V while my PSU can give 45A on 12V.
2. The DH77EB mobo not supporting the Asus GTX1070 card. (That would be the weirdest thing at all like i never heard compatibility issues between PCI-E cards and mobos)
3. The VGA is still damaged.

Forgot to mention the PSU is 1day old.

Update 6:

Regarding to the PSU. From the specification on the 12V it can give 45A and 540W - the PSU overall Watt is 600.

Maybe my CPU / VGA want to consume more energy? I5-3330 TDP value is 77W so if the VGA consuming 500 and the CPU consuming 77 it more what the PSU could give overall in 12V or my logic is false?

Because in that case a Zalman 700 - 750 PSU would be good enough to give power to this setup?

Okay, got enough time to get into windows and check the devices. its says Windows default device twice, i guess one for the integrated one for the GTX.
The GTX got issues it says it dont have enough power and i should disable the other VGA.

Hi there!

First of all, sorry for the late reply.

Getting a better PSU? Is there a difference between another 600W PSU? Mine should give out 45A on 12V which would be enough for the VGA to run, but seems like its some issue with the power. Is there a possible it cant give the 42A (this is the required power to the VGA) and thats why all the issues happens?
