I don't want to buy a battery only to have it explode in my phone or go defective etc. Because Amazon lets anybody categorize their listings in any way that the seller chooses, it is hard to determine which battery listings offer a real authentic genuine Samsung battery.

Does anyone know where I can buy one? The lesser the cost the better.

Should I opt for a rechargeable battery pack instead, or just get another battery to keep as a spare? Thanks. Answers ASAP if possible.

@ExpertAmateur I would personally get the battery pack as its a hassle to carry around another battery which is only 2800mAh and needs to be recharged consistently where as the battery pack only needs one recharge every day or every other day. They don't sell those batteries in the UK. If your current S5 battery is defective then pick up a single S5 Anker battery and then buy a battery pack.

Won't be able to find an original S5 battery online for cheap, the best thing to do is to get a small 10,000mAh battery pack and just carry it around. I've got an S5, I ordered a Anker PowerCore 20,000mAh battery for £27 and it's brilliant its supposed to charge my phone about seven to eight times, but I haven't used it more than twice on a single charge.

Should I do that or get this instead? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OUA9M1Y/

@expertamateur I didn't realise you were from America lol. Those batteries and the travel charger are also a good idea. Anker sells very good quality products and have 18 months warranty so if there are any issues they replace your product without causing too much of a fuss.
