Hey,

So after getting a lot of new parts in i was excited to rebuild my pc. Now sadly it doesn't work as it should...

When I press the power switch on my pc there's different 5 things that seem to happen as far as I've seemed to pick up on:

-My pc starts normally and works (rare)
-My pc starts normally but crashes right after windows loading screen or while logging in. (PC is still running but doesn't show video feed)
-My pc displays it's booting normally but doesn't show video feed.
-My pc decides to have a rave and switches error lights on my motherboard before usually settling for either the VGA led or boot drive one however eitherway not showing video feed and one press of the power switch will instantly make it shut off without delay.
-The same happens as with last option only the power button doesn't do anything when you press it and you have to hold it for it to turn off.

I'm at a loss as to what's causing this currently as I've done most things people suggested on forums when I googled the problems.

My specs:

CPU: Intel i5-4690k (not overclocked)
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LP DDR3 4 sticks of 4GB. (not overclocked)
GPU: ROG Strix-GTX1070-O8G-Gaming. (Not overclocked)
PSU: Corsair RM1000X
CPU Cooler: some enormous cooler Master tower cooler.
Storage:
-1 Samsung SSD with a clean windows install and essential drivers. (Boot drive)
-An older 1TB Seagate HDD (Only used for adobe programs and DAW's and plugins for such.)
-A relatively new 3TB western digital (Games/pictures/videos/torrents etc. etc.)
Current case: Fractal Design Define R2 XL

Things I've already done, I've:

-Updated the BIOS.
-Tried booting without drives.
-Tried booting with 1 stick of RAM.(tried with each stick individually)
-Tried booting with 2 sticks of RAM.
-Tried booting without my USB devices plugged in.
-Tried a different GPU.
-Tried a different PSU (seemed to work slightly better...)
-Tried a different Boot drive (one from a friend)
-I've returned my motherboard for an RMA but they said nothing was wrong with it even after rebuilding my rig to see. Same goes for my CPU.
-Tried the 3 GPUs currently in my possession on a friend's computer where they performed normally.
-Tried booting without a GPU
-Tried using integrated graphics

These are all the one's I can think off as of right now.

Note: It isn't a heating issue as every part tends to stay around the 30 - 40 C° when I'm able to look at the temps.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

SO......

after troubleshooting since my first post non-stop up until now I've fixed the problem.

What i think ended up fixing it:

1. I put the TPU switch all the way to the right.
2. I turned on EZ_XMP on the mobo.

Now I hope it stays the way it is; Working.

Note: i also did some BIOS stuff but this was mostly out of frustration and I don't recall what exactly I changed.

Another side note. Even when the PC boots correctly after a while the Nvidia display driver starts crashing after which it recovers and shortly after my pc reboots itself without warning.

Think this could be a PSU issue? It's brand new.
