This is my 1st attempt at overclocking: Im overclocking my 860k on a ga-f2a88x-up4 board with bios f7, h100i thermal grizzly kryonaut paste. R9 290 with kraken g10& x31 aio. 2-140 intake fans 1 120 intake fan. 3 exhaust 120 fans (the h100i and the x31).

I have my clock set to 4.5GHz and my voltage at 1.4125 in bios but it shows 1.3375 in core temp and amd overdrive. And it shows 1.369-1.375 in hw monitor. (Dont understand all the varriance)

My cpu usage(according to task manager) is 68%. Speed : 3.05GHz
^that doesnt make any sense to me

Apparently only core 1&2 are even hitting 4.5. 3&4 are topping out at 1.7

Now here is where im really confused my temps are different in each application :
In hwmonitor : 75-85
Amd overdrive: 37-41
Core temp: 27-32

After 30 mins of this custom prime95 test:

Min fft: 1344
Max fft: 1344
Run ffts in place: *check*

My temps show:(C°)

HWM: 80
Coretemp: 31
AMD overdrive: 41.2

Why are all them temps different?
what am i doing wrong?
Cant figure out how to post pictures otherwise i would.

It depends what they measure, socket or core temps and also which way. AOD shows margin to throttling temperatures, higher that number is, cooler it is. Anything lower than 10c is cruising for overheat.
Voltages and temperatures also vary with processor load.

ok i thinks its stable now. hw monitor says 106 buts thats just way off. accoding to amd overdrive my thereamal margin (after about 30 mins of IBT AVX) is ~13. my cpu temp(according to core temp 1.1) is ~57

my setting are:
4.6GHz
1.45V

so i think im ok. i just need to run a p95 test about 21 hour test

your thermal margin is ok then for that overclock when it gets to zero or negative numbers the cpu with start throttling.

also I think 4.6ghz at 1.45 is actually lower voltage then most people run at that freq so looks like you got a very good setup/cpu going.

my 8350 takes 1.48750 volts to run at 4.6 stable looks like I got a bad one from the batch :(

in case you didn't read this guide yet it is helpful on the amd fx cpu http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2122665/understanding-temperature-amd-cpus-apus.html

I was able to get 4.7 but it was at 6-8 temp margin on amd overdrive
