Should I allow my gpu to control its fan speed?

I recently moved my pc into a Nzxt S340 to help with thermal issues that my old case suffered from. Everything seems fine, but I was wondering whether or not I should use manual fan control on my gpu. My graphics card is the Sapphire Nitro R9 380 4gb. It's been running great, but I'm someone who constantly monitors temps through CPUID's HW Monitor software. With this program I'm able to see the current temp, lowest temp, and highest temp. Should I allow the graphics card to handle control of the fans? It doesnt even kick on till I think 65 celsius because of the 0 dB mode. Most of the time the card lies somewhere in the 50-60s. Usually hitting 69 celsius as the highest at some points, but it usually goes down seconds later. I'm enjoying the auto fan because of the very little noise my card makes. Should I sacrifice a little noise for better temps?

You have no need to worry. I think the max 'sad' temp is 85 but that doesn't mean it cannot go above that. Most can and will be fine. As long as you keep an eye out on the temps you will be fine

Aha! At least you are using some program to monitor it. It is fine to let it control its own speed. It knows when it is getting hot and only kicks in fans when it needs to save noise and to stop it from overheating. However, you should possibly keep the card a little colder if you control them manually and overall it may be the best option but eitherway it will be fine

Before I switched from my old case I had to manually control the fan to 70 percent speed in AMD Overdrive just to keep its temps down. I would sometimes hit 70s and even 80s despite having the manual fan speed up. My new case has much better airflow. I'm going to try using 50% and see how that works and try adjusting as necessary.

I believe mine does the same which is why I feel like 69 isnt that bad. I'm thinking that if the fans dont even start till 65 that I should be worried unless I'm hitting 80 or higher.
