Frame drops with MSI 970 gtx 4G

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help, I just bought the msi 970 gtx 4g and play games like league of legends and overwatch, but i constantly keep getting framedrops between 10 to 25 and when i am just standing still in league it goes up to 144 fps. Please help.

AMD FX(tm)-8920 eight core
8 ram G.Skill F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR 8GB (2 x 4GB)
seagate 500 gb Seagate
MSI 760GMA-P34 (FX)

install msi afterburner, turn on cpu temp and speed monitoring in the OSD

play a game for a while, post back with max cpu temps and core speed

do you monitor cpu temps?


also which cpu do you have? "8920" does not exist

73 is high for that cpu, i think you might be thermal throttling

when you get a fps drop, alt tab to afterburner and take a pic of the monitor window
