Hi, i have a 144hz monitor, the newest geforce 960 and an i5 4960k processor. I got this at Christmas when me and my friend were custom building my PC. I was so happy because in CSGO i was getting 290+ fps but now and for the last few months it has been around 85-150 and "anything over 60 fps" is not good when you have spent £850 on a PC (£1,200) in total. No forums, commands, nvidia control panel settings ect have worked and i play with everything on low (which i shouldn't have to) can someone please help me

You do realize that spending a lot of money on a PC doesn't make it a good one right? Just an expensive one. Pairing a 4960K with a 960 is an odd choice to start, but then pairing the 960 to a 144Hz monitor makes it even worse. Not a very balanced system there.

I agree with Trafalgar. More so as you said it used to run good and now doesn't. I would suspect thermal throttling so I'd start with cleaning the CPU and GPU heatsinks. Perhaps something is throttling the speed to prevent dying. You might also have a drive problem? If the OS/game drive is full you might be having issues there? Free up disk space if needed.
