so around December i got a GTX980 TI Strix edition.
I previously had a GTX 680 4gb.
Others specs will be listed below.

When playing Arma and I have only noticed this issue when playing Arma games, My computer crashes. Normally about 10 minutes into playing the game will just force close. Then if I continue to relaunch and play at completely random times I will black-screen and the audio just loops.

I want to put this down to the GTX980 TI, I am not sure if it is the PSU which is 1200 watts (yeeess i know way way overkill)

I am thinking that there is something my GPU doesn't like about arma. Any idea's? I literally don't know where to begin looking.

Specs
CPU - Intel Core i7-3970X Extreme Edition Processor - 3.5 GHz, (overclocked to 4.5Ghz)
RAM - 16GB 1600Mhz
GPU - GTX 980 TI - STRIX EDITION
OS - Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition , 64-bit
MBOARD - Asus rampage IV extreme

Is your card overclocked ? Check event viewer / system for error info in case that there is when game crash. If it's related to nvidia drivers perhaps clock isn't stable (in case that you overclocked gpu), since black-screen and looping audio is symptom of that.

The Strix Card is an overclocked version of the Reference. However I have not overclocked any further than that and when I do via MSI afterburner the results are no different. Is there a way to copy the event viewer logs to you?, I couldn't find anything that made sense in terms of causing the crash to me.

each time the message before crash seems to involve flash entering and stopping updates. (not as an error)

There is nothing at the time of the crash, I just get unexpected restart and a kernel error upon restarting. I don't suppose you have any experience with Arma or have an idea what it could be? I get it on both Arma 2 and 3 but no other games.

- (getting this occasionally)
Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

- Update, this just happened whilst playing CSGO. Seems its not just an Arma problem.
