I'm looking for a Motherboard that gives me a good gaming performance and comes for a great price. MSI has me hooked on the MSI Z170 Gaming Pro Carbon but it has 3 PCI-E slots. 2 of which are Steel Series and make use of 16x, the third is and 8x. I am using a Plextor M6e Black edition 256gb SSD and a EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 SC. Therefore i have the 8x left. Is this worth it and what could i do with this last slot as i would like to make the most out of my motherboard? :)

Gaming performance has nothing to do with the word gaming on the motherboard that's just a marketing ploy.
Buying that expensive SSD is your main mistake you can buy a regular SATA SSD and see 0 performance difference in a gaming PC and with all the money saved upgrade to a GTX 1070 that will show a huge gaming performance increase.

I got the ssd for 60 bucks since a computer store in my neighborhood went bankrupt. Any other suggestions?
