What are the pros and cons?

What are the differences? I know the K3 doesn't have SLI support but it has some hefty LED lights

2133MHz is the memory controller's default clock speed. You need to make sure that the memory you get is at least 2133MHz.

It can run memory from 2133MHz to 3466MHz, but clock speeds above 2133MHz will need to be configured manually.

The GAMING 3 has two M.2 slots while the GAMING K3 only has one. The GAMING 3 also has a whole lot more PCIe lanes available for use. You could use two GPUs, a PCIe x4 card like an SSD for three blazing fast PCIe based SSDs and then three PCIe x1 cards like sound cards and such.

I would go with the GAMING 3

Yes but gaming 3 has no LEDs and has world of tanks written on it which ruins it imo

On the k3 it says on the website that memory speed is 2133 mhz is that max or minimum?

Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 3 is defenitely much better !! Who cares about WorldOfTanks (it's a good game anyway). European version is GA-Z170-Gaming K3-EU. Buy Gaming 3. Also K3 is not bad, but I prefer Gaming 3!
