First of all, I apologize if this is the wrong thread. I'm not sure where exactly to post this.

I'm starting college in the fall, and I'm moving to a new state. I would like to bring my custom built laptop with me, but I do not know the best way to do so without damaging the parts. Does anybody have experience with moving computers long distance? It'll be a 14 hour drive.

Specifications, if necessary:

tl;dr - What's the best way to move a computer long distance?

Solution
It's basically best to take it apart and put it in different package boxes. You can keep the mobo, CPU and RAM together as well as the case, the SSD and the PSU. Cooler and monitor should be packaged separately. Use lots of packaging material to prevent the parts from bumping anywhere or being bumped.
