This may be a non-concern but I just finished mounting my waterblock and getting my new rig running for the first time, and my RAM is not showing correctly - not shocking.

Specs:
Board: Asus ROG Maximus VIII Hero LGA1151 Z170 chipset, supports up to DDR4 3733 with overclocking from 3600.
RAM: 2x8 GB DDR4-3200 Corsair Dominator Platinum
CPU: i7-6700k
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 850 P2 PSU
(Haven't gotten GPU yet, darn you Nvidia!)

So, I booted into the BIOS the first time and the RAM showed at 2133. I manually changed this to 3200 and rebooted after saving. After that, the RAM frequency shows 3200 mhz current but when checking the BIOS the stats display the maximum supported frequency for this ram is 2133.

This *is* DDR3200, the part numbers on the packaging and the label on the sticks themselves say it at least. CMD16GX4M2B3200C16 - part number.

I am assuming I might need to update the BIOS or something? It doesn't appear to be running slower than it should.

Solution
If you haven't updated your BIOS then that is your first step. Your kit checks out as being certified to run at DDR4 3200MHz. In any case it's a good idea to also verify the rams are populated in the right slots, i.e: slots A2 and B2 as instructed per your manual.
