Hi everyone. I have a question related to this CPU Host frecuency thingy.
After looking for it in several sources, I didn't find any info about what's it or how to set it properly for the AMD K7 Athlon 1,2 Ghz I have.
In the MOBO there's a 4 switch component that, as the manual says, serves to "set the CPU host frequency in accordance with your processor’s specifications. We don’t recommend you to set the system bus frequency over the CPU’s specification because these specific bus frequencies are not the standard specifications for CPU, chipset and most of the peripherals. Whether your system can run under these specific bus frequencies properly will depend on your hardware configurations, including CPU, Chipsets, SDRAM, Cards….etc."
In my case I have seen that it is set to 110 mhz, of the 6 posible setups (90,95,100,105,110 and 115 mhz) and I have also seen that in the startup screen my CPU shows 1330 mhz instead of 1200!!, I'm afraid something is wrong because I have also noticed that the CPU is running a bit hotter (9 degrees Celsius) than before. I don't know what to do. Should I touch the 4 switch or the problem is within the BIOS?
