I recently got a new computer from a friend of mine cause he didn't need it anymore and my only problem with the computer is that no matter what i'm playing, after a certain point the game just crashes.(Esp. Overwatch and Shattered Skies) Also for some reason i will get sporadic frame drops out of the blue. I am not sure whats causing this and would like some help identifying the issue so i can figure out how to fix it.

Sentey 750w(MPB750-HM) And i believe it is a Bronze. I also forgot to mention earlier that i get frame drops at random times. Like when im playing CSGO ill go from 300fps to 60fps for about 3-7 seconds.

I'm logging out for the night but this sounds like thermal or power throttling to me. Cpu temps under 61 deg C ? Check your voltage regulator temps as well etc etc. If you aren't running Vsync that GTX 970 is just dragging that poor 8350 along for the ride and temps/power are gonna suffer for it at 100% CPU load. Good luck!

Just checked back in...if those temps are right thats waaay waaay too hot. You are throttling for sure.

How do i fix that?

Good advice here, Overdrive is pretty decent. If indeed heat is the issue there are a few potential causes. The first is that the thermal compound has outlived it's useful life and should be reapplied, second is potential pump failure, radiator fan failure, dust/dirt etc in radiator fins. Third and final is the possibility that the cooler is not adequate for the thermal load. If the other issues are either not present or resolved test for this by reducing CPU load, disabling vsync temporarily in game will do this. Observe CPU utilization and temperature in AMD Overdrive to confirm.

I am running same system but asus aura board an sli 970 on air. My temps stay 35 -46 at full load/gaming. I would very much agree with statements except vsync. only because i run run it an haven't had any of his issues. If you haven't oc'd your 970 it should run most at stock speeds.
