What are okay temps for the gtx 1070 founders edition? I'm idling around 40C, and gaming gets near 80-90C. Cpu fans set to an exhaust, 1 200mm intake, 1 140mm intake, 3 120mm intake, and 4 120mm exhaust, 1 140 mm exhaust. The case is a Corsair Obsidian 900D

Please just....stop. Unless you own one you have no idea about what you speak. The temps are a result of Nvidia's BIOS settings, default fan curve and default voltages. AIB partners can and do alter some of these in addition to their thermal solution of choice. I can juice up my fan profile and OC into the damn stratosphere if I want with core temps never passing 60 C. You can make the price argument if you wish...that part is true.

Founders edition card has higher temps than the other models . 80-90 c is normal temps for this card. Also you don't have to worry about the temps so much since there is software installed that doesn't allow the card to go over 93c . And by the way what are saying CeligaGT? If you can do that then on my house do your stuff and make my 6700k never go over 20c and run at 8000mhz with 4.5volt. Can you do that ? Or their is a lot of software to install?

Oh and something else how hot does your 1080 founders edition runs? Does it run like 80+c? Can you make it running at 40c at 3000mhz and VRAM at 20000mhz by changing only the software?

I appreciate the sarcasm (truly) but people come here for help and facts, the FE is overpriced for sure (in my country it was waay cheaper than AIB), but it's not this heat blasting monster everyone is portraying. FWIW I can run just under 80 C at 100% gaming load at about 80% fan.CPU temps are just over 50 C at 4.3 GHZ across 3 loaded cores. System is in my sig. Boost 3.0 works differently and requires a deft hand to get the most from your GPU, Anandtech and some others have great write ups on this, do yourself a favour and go read some of this stuff. It's a fascinating read and anyone who has Pascal should learn up on this.

(edit for clarity) Normally I run Vsync as I play MMO mostly and I don't notice the input lag. Vsynced temps are stupid low with an altered fan profile. No Vsync she jumps up to the high 70's as stated.
