Whenever I boot my PC, it goes to a black screen of text saying its corrupt or missing files. This forces me to restart and go to BIOS or Boot Options and select that certain drive to boot. Also the PC randomly make programs stop responding. Please Help, I'm stuck.

-Thank you in advance

Solution
First off, ensure you have the device you want to boot from a "boot priority #1" in your BIOS.

Do you have multiple drives with OS's on them? That can cause the problem.

Worst case, your HDD (or SSD?) may be failing. Next time you boot successfully, make a backup immediately. Once complete, run a health check on the drive.
