Question about my PC build

Hi there, I have a question

I want to make sure this build can be upgraded in the future (PSU-wise) and if the amount of RAM isn't overkill. Also my monitor is about 5 years old, and Im not sure if this will work properly with the Rx480. It's a 60 hertz on 1080p screen. (V-sync works fine on my current Gtx460's)

Asus Z97 Pro gamer
i5 4690k
Kingstong Hyper X Fury DDR3 2x8GB 2133
Sapphire RX480 Nitro+ 8Gb
Corsair CX650M (PSU)
Iiyama Prolite E2210HDS (Monitor)

Is this build future proof and decently upgradable? Just want to make sure before I make the purchase. Thanks!

"future proof" is near impossible. Upgrading as you go (and not overspending initially etc) is the best way to make sure you 'keep up' over time.

An RX480 should max everything (or at least almost everything) at 1080p, so no issues there.

If you're building from scratch, I'd recommend building a Skylake rig with an i5-6600K over a 4690K.
Not that the 4690K is a bad choice, far from it - it just seems prices are near identical with the newer release (and you can use DDR4 with Skylake).

16GB RAM is a good choice. Maybe a little overkill, as 8GB is fine for most games. There are games already that can utilize >8GB, and having extra will allow multi-tasking without impacting a game. Besides, RAM is (relatively) cheap.

I wouldn't use the CX line of PSUs. They've been revised, and they're better than they were, but generally there are better options at the same pricepoint.

Thanks for the awnser! Would you have any suggestions for the PSU and perhaps a Motherboard that supports the 1151 Cpu's (In about the same price range as my current build if possible)? Thanks again!
