CB external speaker which wire is positive?

The CB is a Cobra 75 WX ST. I cannot remember the speaker I bought. However, I cut the wire to speaker and am using it to connect to a line level which is going into an amplifier to a high end audio system - so possibly itdoes mater. I have read that the white stripe may be negative.

Nothing will blow up, if you notice any sound change you can just reverse it. Larger problem could be impedance change if you connect two speakers in parallel.
