Upgrade my I7 950 with GTX 1070?

Hi,

I just bought a GTX 1070 and was wondering if it was worth it to upgrade my I7 950 with HT enabled (overclocked to 3.8 GHz)?

I play at 1080p and just got a Steam link, but even if the frame rate is over 60 FPs, I get slowdowns through Steam link. I suspect it is due to my Cpu but am not sure.

I don't want to upgrade if it doesn't solve my Streaming slow downs since on my monitor, it's 60 FPs stable.

I seriously doubt that using steam link can overwhelm your 950. I'd advise you to try using a higher-end network card. If you want to be absolutely sure, check the CPU load during a gaming session to see if it reaches 100%
