i have a vga monitor and i'm thinking either amd 480 \ gtx 1060 as an upgrade and both have only digital dvi-d .
will any of them support analog on their own like 900 series ? could a passive adapter work?
if not would an active adapter ruin games like cs:go with input lag ? how much input lag in ms should it add ?
i know that gigabyte's g1 480 has a dvi-i port , but it might not be available where i am , is there any other custom cards with dvi-i ?
thanks

Then best thing would be to contact support for the card vendor and check with them, or look at the card description and see if they come with a DVI to VGA adapter.

If you are about to spend over $200 on a video card, why stick with an old monitor? The monitor is what you look at, it pretty much determines how good of a display you have, old one with VGA is silly to use with a good video card.

You can find a used monitor of decent quality with digital inputs for $50, and $100 for a good larger model. Or new for average quality for about $100-120.

I am eager to upgrade my monitor, but due to political issues (my father) I'll have to wait untill neat year :|
