GTX 1070 worth it?

Hey,
I've currently got a gtx 970 and was wondering if the GTX 1070 is worth buying as an upgrade?
i know a few amd cards have come out and are coming out i think that are on par with other nvidia cards and what not ( not really sure ) just wanted reassurance, Thanks.

And will my 750 watt be fine with the upgrade?

the 1070 will do the newer directx 12 your older 970 will not. the 1070 is also faster and uses less power. the 750w power supply you have now is fine. myself i hold off one more year for an upgrade as the 970 still a good gpu. would wait for nvidia volta thta dropping next year then upgrade.

Upgrading to the next generation is rarely worth it.
Yes there is a significant gain between the 970 and the 1070.
But if you're not experiencing problems due to the lack.of VRAM on the 970 paying an additional 500€ for the 1070 is just unjustified.

Thanks for the replies guys, i play a lot of demanding games like alpha and early access games too that aren't very well optimized so i need more fps in general lol :p

btw is there a size difference in gpu that i should be aware of?
