High CPU Temps with Coolermaster Evo 412S and i7 4770 non K

So two days ago I swapped my pc parts from my old case (CM690 III) to my new case (Phanteks P400s). While removing the cooler, two mounting parts got stuck to the screws of the cooler so I had to purchase a new one. For the thermal paste I used Arctic Silver 5.

My problem is that I'm having higher temps than with my previous setup. The temps I get with my current setup are ~ 30-40 C in idle (same as with my old setup), but the load temps while playing games usually get up to 60+ C and have occasional spikes up to 67-68 C, while - if I can remember correctly - the temps while playing games with my old setup never got much higher than 60 C.

I have thought of a few causes that might have caused for this higher temperature, and I would like you to give me your thoughts on these ones and maybe even give me your own causes:

1. The airflow/airintake in my current case is worse. With the P400S case, the front panel only lets air through the top and bottom, while with the CM690 III air was directly let through the place where the fan was, since the only thing between the front fan and the outside was a dustfilter.

I also have to note that with the CM690III the front fan was a 240mm fan, and with the P400S I only have a single 120mm fan installed in the front.

2. It's because of the thermal paste (application). My PC was built by a company so I'm not sure what thermal paste they used, but I'm pretty sure they used the thermal paste that came with the cooler, so the CoolerMaster thermal paste. I am aware of the break-in period of the Arctic Silver 5 paste, but I dont think it will make that much of a difference.

I may have put too much thermal paste on there, I tried to go for the pea size but I've might put a bit more on the CPU. Also, while trying to install the heatsink, I noticed I forgot to adjust the screws but I had already put the cooler on the cpu while the thermal paste was applied, so I had to take the cooler off and after adjusting the screws I put it back on. I don't know if it is likely that because of removing and applying the cooler again while not changing the thermal paste some air bubbles could've gotten stuck?

I also would have to note that after playing a game, the idle temp goes to ~ 40 C and then very slowly decreases to ~35 C. I don't know if this is common?

I apologize for my fairly long post, but I wanted to put as many details in there. Thank you for taking your time to read the post and I hope you share your thoughts/questions in the comment section.

Thanks for your response.

I am aware of what you just said, but I think it's still weird that my temps are higher, especially since I bought exactly the same cooler. The new one is clean but the older one was a bit dusty, and I get better temps with it (not factoring in the case and other circumstances).
