win 7 had radeon gr drvr from 2011 so I thought update might help my problematic win 10 upgrage. this attempt to update the graphics driver yielded its replacement with a microsoft generic drvr from 2006 !!!! not only that but the DISPLAY ADAPTOR section from my DEVICE MGR is now gone.... I thought there might be a rollback opportunity but I can't find it. Can I access the display adaptor somewhere else in Dev Mgr ?

If not I guess my next step is to go to AMD radeon site and try to install a decent driver; this microsoft is so clunky the screen looks like my old
apple IIe :( .

Hope someone can help. Tx Don

Solution
Try the System Restore to a point prior to the beginning of the problem. If that doesn't fix it, download the driver from the manufacturer's web site.

Good luck.

Thanks wpgwpg. Weird.... I swear I created a new sys restore point 2days ago when I started to have trouble with the w10 install process. So now there are no previous restore points to pick from. ????? The good news is that the Display adapter reappeared about 2 hr later. I downloaded a bunch of crappy drivers from AMD radeon but finally got the thing back to where it was before. And with a more recent driver. Thanks for your input - that's what I did. Now to establish a valid restore point.
