Hey Guys, ive got a question,

I´m about to get a GTX 1060 but I´m playing with an FX 6300 at the moment, together with a R9 270X in Rainbow six siege i got about 80fps in average at medium graphics and full hd reesolution, in BF4 i got about the same, and in GTA V i got about 40fps at low-medium graphicsquality, in LoL for an example i got about 260fps, but in fights it drop down to about 50... not even in BF4 oder RBSS it drops that low XD
Will the GPU give me any advantage to my R9 270X? or will it bottleneck so hard that ill lose even more fps... im planning on upgrading my fx6300 for a i5... dont know which yet, dont want to spend way over 200 dollars just for my cpu, since my fx 6300 is doing fine with my 270X, but i want more hehe, kinda understandable i think^^
So the point is, if im playing on full hd, with my fx 6300 and a gtx 1060 6GB, with my 16GB Ram, will i get advantage to my 270X? what will change, and can my cpu even run this gpu in those games?

If you overclock your 6300 I don't think it will bottleneck the 1060 that much but it will still slightly bottleneck it. You will definitely see a performance increase so maybe it's worth getting the 1060 to have better performance for now especially if you will be upgrading your CPU

Well the CPU will follow, like, ill get the 1060 next month and the better cpu about the month after...
Together with an Mainboard which takes DDR3 Ram XD since i dont want to buy new ram too.. can you recommend me and cpu and mobo for about 20-250 dollars? would be very very nice... i rly dont want to pay more than 250dollars...
I´ve read about someone telling me something like, if you lower the resolution and get higher fps, ur cpu will run even more and a GPU upgrade will bring you better fps and details, is that true? cuz on RBSS i get about 60-80 on medium, on full hd, if i lower it to hd i get about 90-120...

Could you explain that? I´m understanding something like it holds back a gtx 970 and the 1060 is better so it won´t hold it back, but i dont rly understand what you mean, sorry D:

ah okay, now I kinda understand xD can you recommend me a CPU and a mainboard for about 250dollars max? but maybe a mainboard with DDR3 ram support, sine i got DDR3 and dont want to buy another 16gb..

Well even if it bottlenecks it it won't be long until you get a new CPU so it's worth getting it because you will get better performance for now. I live in the UK so the prices are different but I'll have a look on NewEgg for you soon.

Oh right I assumed you were form America because of the $ sorry. 4400 is a good CPU, better than a 6300 but I don't know by how much. I would recommend an i5 4690 which will cost around 220 euro. Alternatively you could buy a 4590 which is about 190 euro. If you don't want to spend that much then yes the 4400 is a good pick although not as powerful as the others. They are all 1150 sockets. 1150 motherboards start at 50 euro.

i was thinking about a i5 6600 or an i5 6600k, are they better than urs? they cost about 220€, are they strong enough for recend and future games? i already found some mainboard which fits with my 1600 DDr3 RAMs xD now im just thinking about which cpu i should get

Yes the 6600k is a very good CPU especially if you overclock it and it will work well in the future games. It is about the same as a 4690k but the 6600k is better out the 2 because you can upgrade to DDR4 ram in the future.

so im starting with my GTX 1060 and change my r9 270x at first, the month after that, ill go for a i5 6600k with the ASRock-B150-Pro4, cause its pretty cheap, it got all the important connections just as my MSi mainboard which im using currently, it supports ddr3, which is important too and it got pcie 3.0, my msi got 2.0 but 3.0 is much more important for the gtx 1060 i think :) i hope ill be ready for bf1 and co :)

nice nice :) I was thinking of spending about 1500€ on an i7 6700k and an gtx 1070 but ill get the i5 6600k which performance in games is about the same as the i7´s, the gtx 1060, which performance is even high enpugh to call it an high end graphics card, which will even run bf1 on ultra i think and the mainboard for less than 580€
just to compare what i need, and what i wanted to get, ill pay about 100€ less and still get about the same performance for games... can you tell me which fps and stuff i can expect? like in LoL i got about 200 fps which drops down to 50 in fights, i think those drops will go away wont they? like i can keep this system for about a couple of years for about 600€ while i was thinking about getting a new complete pc for about 1500€ XDD i think ill be fine with that system, wont i :3

Yes you should be fine. I had a 960 for a while then got a second one. 2 960s have the performance of a 1060 and I play almost all games 1440p 60fps. So with a better processor than mine and a card that performs slightly better than my 2 you can probably expect to play almost all games on high settings 1440p 60fps or maxed out 1080p 60fps. Not sure about LoL I don't play it. But the games I play on 1440p 60fps are TES online, BF 4, Shadow of Mordor, Fallout 4, GTA V, Far Cry Primal, Heroes & Generals. On CS:GO I play it maxed out, 4K and 70+ fps. keep in mind that you will be able to play some games at 1440 with more than 60 but some games you will have to sacrifice some settings to keep it at 60. In some games it will probably be better to stay at 1080 and just max most things out so that you're always 60+

Since i just got a full hd device, ill keep it at 1920x1080 all the time ;) the question now is, the performance between the gtx 980 and the 1060 is like, NOTHING, they fighting about 1-4 fps which is rly nothing, one of my favorite youtubers uses an gtx 980 and an i7 5930k, or x or something, so i think ill get to his performance with an i5 6600k and an 1060 or? well the cpu is slightly a lot better than the i5 but the gap between the gpus is unseeable, so i think i should be fine to play EVERY game on full hd with more than 60 fps or? now im thinking about getting a 1070 instead of a 1060 since especially in bf4, it gets 110 fps instead of the 1060 with about 80, but is it really worth it with about 200€ plus? i dont really know.. since if the 980 is high end and well working on everygame, i think the upgrade to a 1070 isnt rly necessary or? since ill be at high end gaming, with that 1060 as well and i cant imagine that much difference between an i5 6600k and an i7 6700k

I would stick with the i5 if you're only gaming. If you will be live streaming and doing lots of video editing, it's worth upgrading to an i7. If not, stick to the i5. That's why YouTubers have high end processors, because it cuts video editing times down.

Personally, I'm waiting for the new generation of GPUs, since I can't justify paying so much for a 1070 or 1080, especially because they cost so much more than NVIDIA said they would. if I do get one of the 10xx series it will be the 1060. Because if I sell my 2 cards i will get enough money to buy a 1060. Keep in mind that even if you have a 1080p monitor you can use DSR to play games in 1440p.

Even though the 1060 has good performance I think it's a low/mid range card. From what I heard they base the range of a card on where it stands in the current gen ie.
1080 - high end
1070 - mid
1060 - low end

well nvidia is listening the gtx 980 under mid/high end and if cards with the power of my 270X is about low/mid end, the 1060 will be at high ;) its enough to play actual games, in my sights, rbss, lol, bf4 and soon bf1 in high to ultra, with playable 60-120 fps, ofc im not going to take it all on high, im a friend of managin the game to look the best and still run the best ;) the 1060 is a good card i think, cause of its valueable price category, like u pay about 280€ and get a very good and strong card for playing.. the 980 is at 400€ at the moment and on the same power level as the 1060 so i would say, the 1060 is the very best decision or not? :D and the 1070 is a rly great card, but i dont want to pay about 500€ for a graphics card just yet, since the 1060 is way enough for all the games in my sights, teach me if im wrong :D

Titan X High 290
980 Mid/High 280
970 Mid 270
960 Low/Mid 260
950 Low 250

So for new gen

Titan X High
1080 Mid/High
1070 Mid
1060 Low/Mid
1050 Low

See what I mean? It's not where it fits in the performance of all cards, it's the current architecture and its family

But honestly you have nothing to worry about. If you decide to get a 1070 that's good, but I think the 1060 is amazing and will make you happy, especially paired up with that CPU. Hope it all works out. PM me when you get the new hardware I'm interested in the results. Good luck

at the moment im going to get the 1060 and the i5 since this will speed up my pc extremely, getting from "low" to "mid" end is a huge step forward, especially from a 2gb casual to a 6gb gaming card and a WAY faster cpu :)
