Hey there, my computer was working completely fine last night but when I come to turn it on this morning I keep getting this same message over and over :- The type of file is NTFS volume label is OS.
One of your disks needs to be checked for consistency. It then says it will check the disk but nothing happens it just says an unspecified error has occurred and then does nothing. The screen then goes blue and says ''A process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated'' nothing happens and I have to turn my computer off for it to go away.
I have tried rebooting it in safe mode and other modes and I have also tried the system repair but alls it does it bring me back to the beginning again and I have no idea what to do it has never done this before.
I haven't installed any new software and I can't even do a system restore is there a way I can do a wipe? Help would be much appreciated!

Thank you

Try using "last known good" boot option in the F8 menu where you see safe mode.

Usually strange boot issues like this can come from a failing hard drive, you can do a wipe on the existing drive if you want, need to boot from a Windows disk and just run the setup, or start with a Repair Setup first. That keeps your programs and files. You can also try different RAM or running on one RAM stick at a time in-case you have a memory issue.
