The answer is, no-where. Unless you have a specific need for a heatsink on your motherboard and you know why, if it did not come with one installed on some part from the factory, you don't need to add one.

Yes you said for the motherboard, for what on the motherboard specifically? You have a heatsink on the CPU, maybe on the chipset chips, what are you trying to put a heatsink on? Do you just want a random heatsink glued somewhere?
