I recently bought a new, preassembled desktop setup from iBuypower.com and have been running various games on High-Ultra for about 6 months without issue. All of the sudden I started experiencing extreme in-game FPS drops.

My CPU load logs have remained consistent over the course of the last month (30-50% utilization), however the heat logs have recently spiked to show around 80 degrees Celsius lately, up from an average of around 30 (my usage habits have not changed and no new programs have been installed). I have not noticed any changes in GPU loads or temps.

Both the CPU and GPU fans are running fine, but I'm suspecting my Corsair Hydro Series H55 pump may have stopped working. I opened the case recently and found the area around the pump to be very hot to the touch. The hoses seem fine, and again the fan works as it should.

Does anyone here have any experience with this or similar closed-loop water coolers? I need to confirm if it is indeed dead, what would be a better alternative, and how to uninstall the damn thing without breaking anything. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

*As an aside my OS (Win 10), BIOS, drivers, etc all seem to be up to date. Internet gives 180Mbps down on speed tests, disk has recently been defragged, registry is cleaned regularly enough, no viruses, etc.
