NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 from best buy, non-reference?

I was told to not get a reference GPU and I had no idea what that meant so I looked it up on a couple forums and it is still not clear to me.

That's a reference card , now called founders , don't buy them.

What card would you recommend for this setup?

It is for recording xbox one gameplay through and elgato, editing video, and light/casual gaming.

If possible I would like to get the card from best buy because I can do payments on their site and get it soon instead of having to wait to save up.

Yes , any of the 1060's are fine and EVGA releases great cards.
