Do you care to explain why? 3 fans is obviously > 2 fans. And benchmarks prove that the new direct cu with 3 fans is 5-7C lower than the MSI. In my country the price difference is just $15 so which should I get?

Both of the cards in the OP are dual fan models. I'm also confident the Twin Frozr is quieter even if the cooling performance is the same which therefore would make the cooler more efficient.

My twin frozer is freaking soundless.... but it stays cool even when overclocked to 2 Gigahertz per second...

My computer could barely run Witcher III Wild Hunt on low settings with my Nvidia 670 (was pretty quiet as well) With my 1060 twin frozr. IT runs SMOOTH as butter on almost max settings (a few non consequential settings turned off) No fan sound at all can be heard and I do not use headsets.

I do not think the ASUS would be a bad card, but I can say the MSI twin frozr GamerX is a BEAST CARD!!!

Hey there, I'm also considering switching from 670 to 1060, but must say the gtx 670 is not so bad. I can play Witcher 3 on high and now after the latest updates(witch blood & wine dlc) I'm playing on uber. Dunno how it's possible, but anyway, it'll be nice to have better card.

Between EVGA and MSI there's 25-30$ difference, and it's to much so if there really is much difference in performance/noise I have to know if it's worth it.
