Best Budget Laptop ($500) Non-Gaming

I'm looking for a laptop for my sister, the price range I'm looking for is around $500.

Requirements:
- SSD
^ that's about it.

Just looking for the fastest laptop in that price range for a work environment. Little to no gaming will be done on it.

Honestly the best you can do for things like that is actually eBay... Buy a used ThinkPad T430 and install your own SSD and RAM upgrade. It makes the machines fly... Just find one in really nice cosmetic condition. Skip the T440 family, the touchpad is abysmal... The T450 is much better but its too new and thus not quite cheap enough yet...
