1 bar of 3G vs 4 bars of 4G

I like to stream NJPW World and the WWE Network on my phone and so I use 4G instead of 3G but on 4G I get a single bar, sometimes 2 but mostly 1. Would the 4G still be faster than the 3G? I am with Three

in australia i get 5 bars on both 3g and 4g, 3g peaks at 1mb/s and 4g peaks at 7mb/s. 4g is faster in everyway but to check donwload speedtest on your phone and run a test while on 3g and 4g to see the results
