So about a week ago Windows warned me about some kind of hard drive issue where they asked me to backup the hard drive itself with steps, stupid enough i miss judged not seeing this as an actual warning. Now these last days the hard drive has been disappearing from my computer.
I cant access any files, any games because most of my things are installed on the hard drive.

Yesterday I tried turning off the computer, and plugging the cables for the hard drive in and out, that fixed the issue yesterday but today this wont seem to solve my problem. Any ideas? Cheers

Hello,
It sounds like your hard drive seems to get damaged.
Is it still recognizable on your computer? Have you tried it on another computer?
Hope you do have backed up your drive information to another storage device when you were warned last time.
If it really could not be detected on any computer, go take it to some experts or professional agencies for help.

Before anything. Redo your out and in cable plugs and get the files off that drive ASAP.

What is the brand of the Drive? It shows checked in the right pane making it seem as the system can see the drive connected. Does it come up in Disk Management.

My initial suggestion would be make sure the firmware is up to date on the drive. If it is on the latest firmware or after updating firmware and it still happens you have a bad drive.

Welcome to the community, @redgroove!

I'd strongly agree with what the others mentioned and also advise you to backup all your files from the drive as soon as you can access them. I'd also suggest you to try using a different SATA cable and SATA port on the mobo, instead of just reseating the HDD. I'd also suggest you go to Disk management in Windows and check how the HDD is recognized there.
If you have access to another computer, you might also want to try connecting the hard drive there and check how it will get recognized by the other system.

Keep us posted with the troubleshooting & Good luck! :)
