Hi. Just built a new rig with a new headset. No sound card but I don't believe that's necessary. The headset mic is not recognized in device manager or playback devices in Sound, but the speakers part works. I'm pretty certain my drivers for sound are up to date. The USB ports recognize other USB devices like the mouse and keyboard. Only the mic fails to function, while the separate, audio plug does. Using windows 10.
