Yea I've had it since 2012 and I just found out it doesnt even have a 6 pin connector so I really need to upgrade. I found someone selling a Cooler Master Elite Power RS-400-PSAR-J3 for 10 dollars. Should I buy it?

If you buy that you will be in the same boat your in now...... a sinking one.

Golden rules of buying a PSU:

Never ever ever buy second hand.
Never buy no-name generic brands.
If the price is too good to be true then it probably is.
Find a review where they load/ripple/noise test the PSU and tear-down to assess build quality.
Check toms PSU Tier list, buy something from tier 1, 2 or 3: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

*If in doubt and you can't be bothered putting in the homework, buy a psu from one of the big 5 you usually can't go wrong - Antec, Corsair, EVGA, Seasonic or XFX. These brands have a long standing reputation, i cant think of any of the models from these manufacturers that haven't got, at bare minimum satisfactory, but usually very good reviews. They consistently are able to reproduce their rated power within ATX spec, which can't be said for many other brands.

So no cooler Master? I don't really mind the noise and rating because I don't pay my Electric. (Included in rent) Any suggestions from you under 70?
