Hi, there
Just curious, does a 850w power supply able to run triple 3x GTX1080 Reference graphics cards
as my previous thread, i am getting a Alienware Area51 desktop pc .
Yes, it is expensive compare to custom pc, but i really like the design of the chassis and how super clean , that they make for the Alienware Area 51

specs:

Intel i7 - 5 Gen
16GB Ram
128 SSD with 2TB HDD
Video Card : to Nviida GTX1080 single card for now ( upgrade to triple ) once 1080 drops a bit more
Windows 10 Pro
850w power supply

thanks

Really you want a good quality 1000w. If Alienware used good quality PSU's you might just have gotten away with a 850w but Alienware don't use good PSU's so I wouldn't even attempt it. Also what exact CPU and motherboard do you have, you want to ensure you have enough pcie lanes not to cripple 3x1080's
you should really get a 6gen CPU, because of the upgrade path (DDR4,...)
128GB SSD is really too small, at least 256GB is recommended

to your initial question:
you have to choose a good PSU with at least 1000W bronze to run a triple gpu setup, so the option to choose on the dell website will be 1500W case

you know that the case will cost you more than 1000$ than a custom build?
