I recently built my second pc, I salvaged a PSU (Corsair CX 750M) and 16 gigs of DDR3 RAM. My motherboard is an Asus Maximus V Formula, and my CPU is an i7 3770k.

When I first built it, it booted up great, I got to the BIOS screen and everything. I saw that my RAM was at 1333 mhz, compared to its advertised speed of 1600mhz so I changed it. Afterwards I shut it down to add an extra fan. This is when the PC starts turning its fans and LEDs on, but won't actually show anything on screen and USBs stop working...

I have tried reseting the CMOS battery to no avail. Changed the ram sticks one by one in all of the four slots. I get a Q-Code saying 32, if thst can help
Please help me, for I am in dire need of help.

unplug extra fan see if it shorting the mb out. in the mb quild look at the q code to see where it stop. if the bios is old use the usb flashback port s usb stick to update the bios.
MAXIMUS V FORMULA BIOS 1903
Improve system stability.
last 4 number on the mb serial are the bios rev.

32 = CPU post-memory initialization
clear cmos by pushing the clear cmos button on the back

check if the cpu socket pins of the motherboard are bent
check if the spacers between case and motherboard are installed right like the manual says

any q-led lit up?
dram or cpu led?

Smorizio, I can legit not find out where to download the BIOS forthe USB flashback...
Helpstar, there are no bent pins on the motherboard, and there is space between the case surface and the motherboard.

Have a look at the manual of your motherboard, which led near the 24pin connector lights up. CPU, DRAM, ...

Did you connect the 8pin ATX12V connector upper left as well?

USB flashback:

select driver&tools on the following page:

then select your OS -> there you can find the bios file
