Which router should I get?

I don't much about this subject, but I think I need a router? I want to connect both my laptop and desktop to the internet. I will need both a wireless connection for my laptop and a cable connection for my desktop. I am on a budget btw.

I would say ask your ISP for a recommendation, maybe even lease it from them until you get enough knowledge to know the basic differences between the types of routers. Your question is too general to give a good answer.
