Hey guys, what be the better option?
Will the AMD Build bottleneck?
Also could someone tell me how much fps I would get in the games (below) for both builds as most of the videos on YouTube are of the 8 GB R9 390.

Grand Theft Auto V
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
Star-Wars: Battlefront

Thanks.

Yeah rhere wil be games where the fx8xxx will not be able to drive the 390 to maintain frames. Not a good investment.

390 is much quicker than the 960.

Best bet would be i5 and 1060/480.

Neither is a good option, not when the RX 480 and GTX 1060 exist.

The architecture of the FX-8350 is five years old and the platform is dead; there's no point investing in it today. The same goes for the 4460 to a lesser extent.

An i5-6500 and RX 480 or GTX 1060 is what you should aim for. If you can't afford the 6500 then go for an i3-6100 instead.

forget the fx 8350, its old, slow and cumbersome and gets outperformed in games by intels skylake i3. You can always upgrade to an i5 later if you go with a skylake i3.

The 390 is very similar in performance to the 480, but consumes a lot more power (requires 600w psu vs 500w). But if you can get it for cheaper than the 480 its an ok choice. The 1060 is also a good choice, it just depends on the prices in your region. All 3 of the mentioned gpu's perform similarly, trading blows depending on the game. On average the 1060 is the slightly faster of the lot, followed by 390, then the 480. Most importantly, all the games you mentioned, play well on all the gpu's mentioned, you should be able to maintain 60fps on high or max detail settings, maybe reduce AA if you want buttery smooth 60fps solid. But intel is a clear winner for the CPU.
