I'm looking to replace my R9 290, but I have a very limited budget (300 max 350 €).
Here in Italy my best option atm are:
1) Sapphire R9 390X NITRO 299,06€
2) XFX RX 480 8 Gb (reference) 249,6€
3) Zotac GeForce GTX 1060 6G 279€
4) Sapphire Radeon R9 FURY Nitro 349€
5) Zotac AMP Edition Core GTX 980 359€
Which one will you choose and why...
PS: my PSU is a 850W bronze so power is not a problem

Solution
I would choose the GTX 1060 if you play a lot of Nvidia friendly titles (going for the GTX 980 will give you slightly better performance but for a lot more money, not worth the money IMO), if you play a lot of AMD friendly titles then get the RX480, but try to get a aftermarket cooler version.

The performance difference between the GTX 1060 and RX480 is so small and game dependent that it does not really matter which of the two you decide to get. However, the RX480 does allow for Crossfire while the GTX 1060 does not support SLI.

Thanks a lot, I'm not a full time gamer, I play just 2/3 titles a year and I don't mind for which brand the game is optimized ...If is interesting is ok.
The 980 with only 4 Gb is the most expencive card I can buy within my budget but I don't think is the better deal, looking at benchmarks the Fury for 350€ is probably the better card...but is 4 Gb and this could be a problem for future games.
390x has better bench than the rest, but is hot and power hungry.
The newcommers are neck to neck , 1060 for DX11, 480 for DX12 but probably both are a sidegrade from a 290.
