Hello!

I am in the situation of upgrading my GPU and i am considering between RX 480 or the 1060.
I have a FX 6300 Black Edition and i wonder which one will be best for my CPU. I would consider buying aftermarket too, so dont just compare the reference cards. The aftermarket cards i am thinking about is the MSI 1060 Gaming X and the Sapphire RX 480 Nitro+.

As i wrote earlier, who would suit me best with that CPU without bottleneck to much. I also prefer to have a quiet card since my currently is so loud!

Solution
Since your primary goal is silence, then order the GTX 1060 (please reference video below).

Between MSI and Sapphire, it's not fair for me to make a personal recommendation because I haven't owned a Sapphire GPU in 10 years. However, last year I owned the MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G card and absolutely loved it.

* Personally if I were buying a GTX 1060, I'd lean...
1. these cards are practically the same as the all perform well on 1080p. You don't really care about those few FPS here and there for each of them.
2. I prefer nvidia for lower power -> lower heat -> lower noise :) and the shadowplay.
Of all 1060 i've seen, EVGA 1060 and EVGA 1060 SC priced at 250$ were awesome offer. from experience, recent EVGA cards are very cool and quite.
But after all go for whatever you can find at 250-260$.

* Personally if I were buying a GTX 1060, I'd lean towards EVGA, simply because I like their support a lot. Both my GPUs and all of my PSUs are EVGA branded. I've never before considered a single fan GPU, but Jayz review (below) has turned my opinion somewhat.

Solution
What is your current card, and what games do you play?
At what resolution?
What is the make/model of your psu?
What is your budget?
Past the noise issue, what do you wish to accomplish?

Really, we need to know those things to be able to make a sound suggestion.

Yea, i think it will be the MSI 1060, thank you for all answers. Ive seen that the 970 MSI was really good and hoping that the 1060 MSI will be good too! And best of all! It is really quiet :)

Okay ive missed to tell some stuff. The budget isnt a problem between these, i can consider to buy all of these. I hope to accomplish a good gaming experience at 1080p and ive already done some research and found out that everything ive got in my computer will work with these cards. PSU: Cooler Master B500, 500W PSU. And my current GPU is Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 2GB GDDR5.

@Dethey Watch this right now? Ed, who is Saphire's Marketing Manager, is currently speaking on a PC Perspective podcast. Since you asked about Sapphire, I wanted to give you all the info. By the time you see this, the podcast may be over, but you can watch the archive on twitch to view it. There is also a content to win a free Sapphire RX 480, that'll be open for the next two hours (current time 1:23 pm EST). - Rob
