A coin hit the top of my gpu and pc died.

Hello so I opened up my computer case to put a little fan and i coin hit the top of my gpu and my computer hang and i turned it off. When it boots up the video display is not showing so tried in my in mobo and it boot up. So my question is did the coin short circuited my gpu? Please help.

Next time you should try and figure out the cause of the temperatures, and also try and shut the PC down and clean it out first before resorting to such things.

Maybe you need a new case with more fans, leaving the case open as you can see can be dangerous for your PC's health.

Yes it is very likely that you need a new GPU now. Also you should never be messing with anything inside a pc that is pluged into a wall. just a big no no

No the little fan the i was talking about is a electric fan thats almost the size of my computer. Since the pc case is open and there was a coin in my mouse pad when i hit my the coin it went in my pc and hit the top of my gpu then my computer froze. I was not installing a cooler :D

There is a reason PC cases have sides and the fan holes are small in them.
