GPU Bottle neck will cause problems?

I have made my PC, it an extremely budget build , (G3258, H81m-E33), i know that this will definatly not keep up with what im planning to buy (RX 480). I would like to know if an using RX 480 is possible, i dont know much more than how to build a PC and my friend said that my pc will "explode" if i put that graphics card in there. I know the GPU will be limited, it just needs to hold out for a little bit until i can get another CPU.

i have a 500w PSU, a 1tb HDD and a wireless card aswell as the Motherboard and CPU. This should be fine then, thank you!
