My parents don't have internet access but recently acquired an Amazon Fire tablet. They live about 120m from me and I was wondering if I could possibly extend my Wi-Fi network to give them access. A quick google revealed I could certainly do that. However, finding the right equipment to do that in the UK seems impossible.

My cable connection comes into my Wi-Fi router in my office at the back of the house. It can't be moved from where it is. Also, I cannot connect an antenna to my router (Virgin Media Superhub). I was thinking I could plug a repeater/extender into the power supply in the front bedroom. The Wi-Fi signal would then have to travel about 120m through a few walls into my parent's house to their tablet. I should mention they do live on the opposite side of the street, so it's almost a direct line of site at a sharp angle. But what devices are available to do that?

If your parents have a house, you should mount a WIFI bridge outdoors pointed at your location. The best option would to also mount an outdoor WIFI device at your location. I like Engenius products. A pair of these -- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833168114 pointed at each other would be a good choice. The 5Ghz wireless link is more immune to interference from the inevitable 2.4Ghz WIFI in a neighborhood.
