which would you buy, for the same price, used? a 650 Ti or a 560 Ti card? for someone who does casual light/medium gaming, plenty of home movies, and with a Kaveri as the CPU to host it?

The 650ti is more efficient and is a more capable card for workload applications, but performs slightly worse than a 560ti overall in gaming. Why are you even bothering with these cards anyway? A 770 can be picked up for about $100-120 on eBay

Fair enough haha, if your budget is $40 then you're getting a good deal. I used to own a 660 which is pretty similar to a 650ti, and I was able to play AAA games with it on medium-low settings up until I sold it in 2015.

I forgot to add that you should go for the 650ti because it has 2GB of VRAM, the 1GB on the 560ti isn't going to cut it even though it's technically a 'faster' card.

This. And if they're both 1GB versions, and you're not planning on doing 3D rendering with them, or watching TV at 4k resolution, then go for the 560ti.

That's Canadian, right? If the 650ti is $40...yeah obviously go for that. I sold my 660 in 2015 for $95 USD...

up here, when people sell used, they expect nearly-new-prices because N years ago it was an awesome card. basically they want a refund. very few are reasonable. i see used SSDs being posted for more than a new one all the time! no idea if anyone buys them, or how far down they negotiate, but it's messed up.

no boosts around. i could get a triple-wide 570 for $125 if i wanted to.
