I'm looking into getting a cheap GPU that will hold me over, until the HBM cards release. I have my eye on a used 980ti classified for $325. This card will be used for gaming on a 1440 monitor, as well as 3d rendering in Iray. With the Pascal version of Titan X due out in a few weeks, and with the 1080 and 1070 already available, how far would the current Titan x fall in price? Or should I just pull the trigger on the 980ti?

Solution
for the record nvidia never drop the price on their titan series (they don't get any game bundle as well unlike other GTX card). if anything their price will go up instead because of market demand when nvidia EOL the card.

I agree with this guy . The price of the titan x wont fall. It will stay stable unlike the other cards. Go and get the 980ti or get the 1070 since it looks more future proof.:D hope this helped.

for titans the price usually going up before they completely gone in the market. titan x maxwell was actually quite popular to compute crowd. some company actually build their compute product using titan instead of using quadro or tesla.
