My PC specs are : asrock H61M-VG3 motherboard
Intel® pentium 2.6 GHz dual core
2 GB ddr3 ram
Intel HD graphics(processor GPU)
It runs halo 2 at high graphics and no lag but what games can it run

You'll be able to run old games and emulators. Emulating is very fun and with your build I would suggest getting into emulation and start emulating those gamecube, NES, PS2 and gameboy games. You may be able to run some old PC games such as Call of Duty 4 on low settings but modern titles won't run great.

what processor might be good?
my motherboard socket is LGA 1155. I will buy 8gb ram stick at 1600MHz compatible with my motherboard and CPU.
And what GPU might be good? (Don't say an Nvidia geforce titan...that's expensive nor an nvidia geforce gtx 980 ti I want a GPU not that expensive)

Better off saving for new build. I5 6500 and 1060 is what you want to aim for for most 1080p gaming situations.

I wouldn't suggest a titan anyway because your CPU would bottleneck it anyway. Get an RX480 or a GTZ1060 both good budget cards but your CPU will still cause a bottleneck. For the 1155 chipset I'd get the i5-2500 but there still quite expensive so I'd just save your money and buy a whole new skylake or kabylake system (when kabylake is released) with an RX480 or a GTX1060.
