So, I'v managed to save up a good amount of money and am looking to invest in a new PC that will be powerful enough to last me for years, however when building this PC i want to be 100% sure that all the parts are compatible. (i have used PC part picker to check but have had issues with them before) Here are my parts:
Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
Corsair H100i v2 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Asus MAXIMUS VIII HERO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
Samsung 850 PRO 2TB 2.5" Solid State Drive
MSI GeForce GTX 980 4GB Twin Frozr Video Card (2-Way SLI)
Corsair SPEC-ALPHA ATX Mid Tower Case
Corsair 1000W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

I know alot of the parts are overkill but im making an investment that will last me a long time, i also know its alot of work to check all of these parts. Hopefully someone can tell me if these parts will work together but surely you understand my being skeptical.
Thanks

Thanks for your help, but can i ask why you would recommend the GPU changes?
